Our Working Method: Communication & Updates From pregnancy to the day of pick-up, we keep future families closely involved.- Private Facebook and WhatsApp group for regular updates (photos, videos, milestones)- Public Facebook and Instagram pages for general updates- Families can continue sharing updates in the group after adoption (optional, but fun for everyone)- The group also serves as a space for questions and community (e.g., planning a puppy walk) Online Puppy Introduction Before the first in-person visit, we schedule a 30-minute one-on-one online meeting with each potential family. This gives you to meet the puppies live and see them interacting with their mom in real time. Meetings can be held via Zoom, Google Chat, Facebook Messenger, or FaceTime ;whichever platform you prefer. Visiting Policy : We follow strict hygiene and safety measures to protect puppies from infectious diseases. First Meetup: First Visit (5–6 weeks): Group 1 Families without pets at home, or with pets fully vaccinated (rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza/bordetella, leptospirosis) Second Visit (8 weeks): All families are welcome once puppies have received their first vaccinations. Group 1 families may schedule a second visit at this time. Additional visits can be arranged, but we ask families to come to those we have listed here at least. Pick-up (10–12 weeks): Puppies go home after 10 weeks, ensuring they are well developed and socialized. Our price reflects: In-home rearing with socialization and daily family life Updates, photos, and videos throughout pregnancy and early weeks Early online meetings and at least two in-person visits before adoption Longer stay (10–12 weeks) ensuring stronger social, emotional, and behavioral development Full veterinary, genetic, and heart screenings Early training foundations and high-quality nutrition Post-adoption support and community access Additional value: The dam, Luna, has received Canine Herpes Virus (CHV) vaccination, full veterinary examinations, and has received hereditary testing (including ECVO eye, OFA Hip/Elbow, and Patella exams). Puppies are screened for congenital heart defects at UKG Utrecht University. Both mother and puppies are raised on a premium cold-pressed, hypoallergenic diet with natural supplements and home-cooked meals, ensuring robust, balanced growth. ✨ This commitment gives each puppy the healthiest possible start and offers families peace of mind and lifelong support. At Lulu’s Hearts & Paws, we believe that early experiences shape a puppy’s lifelong wellbeing. From the first days of life, our puppies are carefully guided through proven early-development protocols designed to build resilience, confidence, and trust in humans. 🐾 Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) Between Days 3–16, each puppy experiences short, gentle handling exercises known as Early Neurological Stimulation, originally developed for U.S. military working dogs under the “Super Dog” program. These five simple exercises—such as gentle tactile stimulation and mild positioning 🌸 Early Scent Introduction (ESI) Alongside ENS, we conduct Early Scent Introduction, a program where each puppy is briefly introduced to a new scent daily (herbs, fruits, safe household scents, or natural outdoor smells). 💛 “Puppy 10” Handling & Touch Desensitization As the puppies grow, we begin our Puppy 10 Handling Routine, a gentle 10-step daily practice that helps them accept human touch from nose to tail. This includes handling ears, paws, muzzle, tail, belly, and gentle restraint—paired with calm praise and soft massage. The goal is to prepare each puppy for vet visits, grooming, nail trimming, and home life with ease and comfort. By 6–8 weeks, our puppies are confident with handling and less likely to fear touch or restraint. 🧠 “10-10-10” Daily Balance From week 6 onward, our puppies follow a 10-10-10 routine 10 minutes of playtime (social interaction and free exploration) 10 minutes of training (early commands, crate comfort, leash and recall foundations) 10 minutes of rest (teaching calmness and independence) This rhythm supports healthy emotional regulation, prevents overstimulation, and sets the foundation for smooth transitions to family homes. 🌿 Our Promise By the time our puppies are ready to meet their forever families, they’ve already experienced: Positive human handling and sounds Gentle grooming and nail clipping Crate and potty-training foundations Exposure to various surfaces, textures, and toys Respectful introductions to safe adult dogs
